What to expect

At this stage, you will receive a full explanation of the findings from your Examination. If I believe that Chiropractic care is an option for you, I will clearly explain the reasons why and provide my best assessment of how long and how often treatment should be undertaken. I will talk you through my and your expectations for improvement – and the commitment required by you to achieve this.

First Visit - Initial Consultation (45 minutes)
Your first visit to The Body Clinic is a private initial consultation & examination with your Chiropractor, Sophie.
During this session, Sophie will go through your medical history and undertake a thorough Chiropractic examination, including postural assessment, orthopaedic (joints and muscles) testing and neurological (nerve) tests.
If required, further tests such as X-rays or scans etc may be discussed and can be arranged for you with the relevant practitioner.

Your first treatment MAY be provided during this visit IF clinically appropriate and time allows.

Second Visit - Report of Findings & Treatment (30 minutes)
At this stage, you will receive a full explanation of the findings from your Examination. If Sophie believes that Chiropractic care is an option for you, she will clearly explain the reasons why and provide her best assessment of how long and how often treatment should be undertaken. She will talk you through her and most importantly your expectations for improvement – and the commitment required by you to achieve this. If you would like to commence treatment at this stage, you will receive your first adjustment at this appointment.

Regular Adjustments (20 minutes)
Your regular visits with Sophie will consist of a series of bespoke Chiropractic Adjustments and Soft Tissue Therapy combination that is tailored to your care. Many patients decide to continue with their adjustments once their pain or symptoms have eased to continue to ensure their body is functioning at its best (Wellness Care). Throughout your care, Sophie will schedule regular complimentary re-assessments to monitor your progress and make sure you are getting the most from your care.
(May involve McTimoney manipulations, mobilisations, and soft tissue releases, with the use of Medical acupuncture, kinesiology taping and cupping when necessary).
